I can't remember how many times my son has asked me to draw him something. I like to call myself a retired artist as I had never achieved anything recognized in the creative industry. Two days ago, when he was desperately urging me to draw him a race car, I just couldn't resist his puppy eyes and his blind admiration of my mediocre skills. When I was busy scrolling for inspiration, wifey suggested I draw the Acura RSX we had in Canada. My rusty hands were at first reluctantly deciding a spot to start on the sketch book. In a matter of few minutes, I was already consumed by my strokes and couldn't hear a sound around me. A sudden bump to my elbow shook me up. I sideviewed my son eyes were fixated on my drawing and kept saying "Papa, sugoi ( you are good in Japanese)". Upon finishing my drawing, I passed it immediately to him and tell him to feel free to add in anything he wants. When he's done with a satisfactory smile on his chubby face, I realize my work of art was decorated beautifully with his affectionate collaboration. This amazing drawing is not only drawn by us, it has drawn us together.
